Our Company
Wordcrafters Northwest was founded in 1989 to provide dissertation typing and word processing services to the University of Washington, its students and faculty. Since then, we have branched out into state-of-the-art academic transcription, producing transcripts for literally thousands of important research topics and studies, many funded by national and federal grants.
From the little "office on the Ave," Wordcrafters has extended its reach to campuses and businesses across the country--and even around the world, with customers in Switzerland, the U.K. and Japan.
Highlights over the years have included editing newsletters for the Tacoma Art Museum, and books for Harvard Press; transcribing the entire proceedings of the Global Conference on Breast Cancer hosted by Fred Hutchinson Research Center; assisting writers in landing agents and publishers for their work; but above all, having the opportunity to meet so many fascinating people.
